Bulkeley Hotel
Location
Beaumaris is a
beautiful old town on the eastern side of the Historic Island of Anglesey
(Ynys Mon, Mother of Wales), an unspoilt ramble of shops, dwellings,
museums, attractions, splendid tea houses, pubs and restaurants.
The Bulkeley Hotel is yards from
the beach and pier alongside the Menai Straits. It enjoys stunning views
across the water to the mountains of Snowdonia, and sits 100 yards from the
famous 13th Century Castle.
The Victorians established sailing
in Beaumaris, 'The Cowes of the North' and several fleets of classic yachts
still sail from the town today.
The
sea fishing is some of the
finest in Britain. There are eleven golf courses close by and seven National
Trust properties.
Alternatively you could simply sit
on a beach and look at the view or immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of
history, Ancient and Celtic, that pervades this wonderful island. |
