‘The Bulkeley Experience..’

The Bulkeley Hotel was built in 1832 as a Georgian showpiece to accommodate Princess Victoria as a young princess and heir presumptive to the throne chaperoned by her mother, the Duchess of Kent on a Royal visit to the stunning Isle of Anglesey. The hotel today still retains much of it’s period charm and character and affords it’s visitors the same majestic views over the Menai Straits and Snowdonia Mountain Range enjoyed by it’s royal visitors nearly two centuries ago.

During the golden age of hospitality the original building was expanded in the 1930s and today offers 43 individually styled en-suite bedrooms. This elegant Georgian building houses a modern Bar & Grill Room as well Hansom’s elegant à la carte Dining Room, and a Traditional Coffee House and lounge, brimming with relaxing Leather Chesterfields.

The Bulkeley is situated on one side in the heart of Beaumaris’ bustling high-street abound with curiosity shops and interesting boutiques just yards from the 12thC Beaumaris Castle and other historic attractions. On the other, guests enjoy spectacular views directly opposite the beach and Pier providing boat excursions along the Menai Straits to Puffin Island.

An Art Studio, Gallery and Gift Emporium within the hotel showcases arts and crafts created by talented local artists and artisans, and guests can enjoy being pampered in the hotel’s Beauty Salon.

The Bulkeley’s vibrant, bustling atmosphere by day transforms to a tranquil, leisurely ambience in the evenings in which guests can relax and unwind.
